Missing things

There are many things that I will miss as I leave my prairie home for a while. Here are some of them:

The park that I walk through on my way to work and the recognizable buildings from our skyline

Work

Trivia night with friends and food and Battletoads (Bourbon and Sprite - delish)

The beautiful sunsets

The tree in my parent's front yard that we watch grow bigger every year.

My mom's inukshuk

The essence of autumn: that certain smell of the cooling air and the crunch of the fallen leaves

The lake and the geese

The changing trees

My mini-apartment (right before we moved everything out)

Those big windows

The way the light fell in the morning

The silly knight and coat of arms lights in my apartment. So crap. So fantastic!

Today I am thankful for all the opportunities that are presented everyday...

Sure, you tell me about battletoads the day after we restock our liquor cabinet with everything but bourbon!

Sigh. I miss the Prairies. I remember how it felt when I packed up my whole life and moved from Alberta to Connecticut.

This place looks really pretty. I would be sad to leave, too. :(
