Bush Camp

Our Australian friends decided that we needed the experience of bush camping. We loaded up with tons of groceries and probably more beer and drove 2 hours out of Adelaide to the York Peninsula.

We set up camp beside a sand dune, making sure to have a sunshade and mosquito net in the centre of the tents.

Just over the sand dune was the sea! We were in a little bay so the water was about knee deep quite far out. We spent the days reading and drinking beer while sitting in the bathwater warm water of the ocean!

Today I am thankful for 2 days camping by the sea where it was murderously hot during the day and rather chilly at night. It was lovely to have nothing to do but read, nap, and bob about in the water.
