I pray that something picks me up

Today I am surly because I couldn't sleep until 5am. This was because the power company decided to spend all of Sunday pointing various devices at the ground, staring up at the powerlines, and shrugging at each other. Come 10pm they started using the most rumbliest and noisy machines to start digging holes and various other mind-numbingly loud activities.Including letting machinery continue to run when it was serving no purpose. When there was the odd moment of only a dull roar, the workers shouted at each other. I really hope that this was the biggest emergency of all time (but then again, shouldn't we have been evacuated if it really were serious?) The other awesome thing? The Gentleman Caller had to get up for work at 4:20am... and at 4:35am they finished their work and left! RAGE!

Ok, rant over...

Friday was a strange roller coaster of a day. I went to my friend's work and got a 1 day a week job helping to organize their office so I was really excited. Then my old boss called and the part time contract that was 99% a sure thing suddenly might take another few weeks or might not happen at all. Super shocking again so I went to have a glass of wine with a friend while the waitress gingerly served my sniffling self... So that just means that this week I have to get on the job hunt with panache and charisma! POW!

Today I'm thankful for my mom and dad. Even though they are in Spain at the moment they are, as always, a huge support. I am grateful and appreciative of them.

The dress looks great! I was going to complain today about a lack of sleep (someone was coughing in my ear, so I went to sleep on the couch, and that never works), but you definitely get complaining rights for the day!

It sounds like a well-placed nap this afternoon is in order. Preferably with squishy pillows and an ice cream snack when you wake up.

I'm sending out good vibes for the part-time gig, and even better vibes for a fabulous new job! You shall prevail, m'dear, you shall prevail.

A nap is definitely in order! I woke up to a raging thunder storm at 2:45 am, but luckily it didn't last long. Congrats on the new gig and fingers crossed that something will work out with your old employers!!

Ugh, that sounds really awful! I hate it when I can't get sleep, it is so torturous.

You are still looking pretty bright despite the lack of sleep however. Good luck with your job situation!

I could not deal with noise while I'm trying to sleep. Talk about the worse possible way to start off the day! Thankfully, you're looking sassy in this dress! Here's hoping the job situation perks up. Keep the faith!

Oh sweetheart. You've had a really hard couple of days.

That whole noise thing is ridiculous. There should be a law against noisy work that late at night.

I'm really sorry about the job. I know you'll find something you LOVE because you ARE charismatic! And you look adorable too. :)
