I pray that something picks me up
Today I am surly because I couldn't sleep until 5am. This was because the power company decided to spend all of Sunday pointing various devices at the ground, staring up at the powerlines, and shrugging at each other. Come 10pm they started using the most rumbliest and noisy machines to start digging holes and various other mind-numbingly loud activities.Including letting machinery continue to run when it was serving no purpose. When there was the odd moment of only a dull roar, the workers shouted at each other. I really hope that this was the biggest emergency of all time (but then again, shouldn't we have been evacuated if it really were serious?) The other awesome thing? The Gentleman Caller had to get up for work at 4:20am... and at 4:35am they finished their work and left! RAGE!
Ok, rant over...
Friday was a strange roller coaster of a day. I went to my friend's work and got a 1 day a week job helping to organize their office so I was really excited. Then my old boss called and the part time contract that was 99% a sure thing suddenly might take another few weeks or might not happen at all. Super shocking again so I went to have a glass of wine with a friend while the waitress gingerly served my sniffling self... So that just means that this week I have to get on the job hunt with panache and charisma! POW!
Today I'm thankful for my mom and dad. Even though they are in Spain at the moment they are, as always, a huge support. I am grateful and appreciative of them.

That whole noise thing is ridiculous. There should be a law against noisy work that late at night.
