Not a creature was stirring...

After dancing around in celebration of being off work so early I readied my apartment for my return. Yes I'll be gone for 2 days, only slightly across the city... but still. Isn't it just so nice to come home to a clean and lovely place?
christmas eve

We went to church and the priest was the one that I grew up with. He was wonderful, very real, genuine and relatable. It was a lovely service. We then went to my grandparents for appetizers and we spent hours pouring over old pictures of their ancestors. I love old photos especially when they can remember the story attached.
dress: Jones New York
blazer: Ricki's, buttons of love added by me
purple flower broach: craft fair
necklace: market in Madrid, Spain
shoes: Hard Hearted Harlot via Schuh in England
gold sequins bow tie belt: from a childhood dance costume, attached to black ribbon

(yes I realize that I've worn this dress 3 times in the last month but, really, if you can't over-wear gold in December the world is a very sad place indeed)

My friend is taking an overnight bus in order to be home with her family tomorrow morning... I took her to the bus depot and, dude, dodgy people take the bus on Christmas eve...

PS I think I just heard reindeer on my rooftop! Eeeeee!

oooh I love the dress, and that belt is to die for! I would wear it with everything! I would post a tutorial about my messy bun but it's not an exact science... :)
