You will cross the country alone

Every morning when I wake up the first thing that I think to myself is "Ok Danielle, just get through today. If you just get through today you can come back to this warm bed soon." I don't want to be the kind of person that is wishing away my days away. Life is too short. When I took mindfulness meditation it was all about recognizing what is actually happening, good or bad. It's just a temporary part of what is. And if you can truly be in each moment, and if each moment is all that you have, you can truly be happy. I want to wake up and be excited for the day, not cold and tired. Baby steps in the direction of living with enjoyment. Or maybe it's In-Joy-ment...

These colours were inspired by Miss Tiffany from A Reason to Be Fabulous. They were just so bright and wonderful! Plus I'm envious of her red hair!
cardi: Ricki's
pink dress & grey top: Joe Fresh
leggings and tights layered up: brrrrrrr
shoes: Indigo by Clarks

All afternoon long I could hear the freezing rain/snow/jerks tickling at the window. So now it's time for some winter silliness!

Then I made Gluten-Free butter chicken for lunches for the next week and some sweet potatoes with leeks and blue cheese. I love cooking when it's cold out!

Ooooh... a pink dress with pockets! How delightful! I've studied mindfulness as well, and really love the idea. It sure does take practice. I find that I can be very mindful when I cook, paint, or engage in something creative... but not so much when I'm facing the cold.
You are exactly right Miss Allison! Maybe that's just the trial that we have to face in order to learn what we need to?

Thank you for the shoutout!! I love these colors, and the pink in your hair is too cute!! Your shoes are great too, I just love this look and am so flattered that you named me as your inspiration!

Also, I think the same thing when I wake up, not because I dread the day but because our bed is so comfortable and I love sleep!! Haha.
