Good Friday
I generally enjoy the Easter season. It's spring time and usually sunny. It's about rebirth and new life. And it's much less stressful than Christmas. My family always goes to church with my grandparents and then out for all you can eat salad bar and fish dinner. The church service is always long and I'm prepared for that. This year however was a huge shock. The service was given by a priest that we've never seen before and it was horrible. It was all fire and brimstone and everyone is going to hell! We felt that it was hurtful, offensive and not the right sermon for Easter or the message that the church has been delivering in the last 50 years. Anyways... it was an eye-opener...
After dinner the Gentleman Caller and I went to a fundraiser at a dodgy arcade called Wonderland. It was an all you can play for $10! Lots of our friends were there and I worked off my salad dinner playing some classic Dance Dance Revolution and air hockey!
Yes, that is my back alley where I can place bags of cans and glass recycling and it will be gone within a half hour. And no, I did not wear this to play DDR. Shockingly enough. Also I had my FBFF all ready to go this Friday but when I went to link it to Katy's page it turns out I did the wrong week... huh.
Today I am thankful that I have a faith in a God that is good and kind and loving and that I believe that the religion I was brought up with is one piece of the puzzle that is the Creator. And that I'm interested in and appreciate other religions so that I'm able to gain insight on other pieces of the puzzle as well.
