It all comes out in the wash

Yesterday's massage was delightful. But today's recovery is not so very nice. I spent the entire day alternating between hot and cold on my neck. Oh well. Not to worry.

And it's super nice out again today! I didn't even wear socks to walk home in! It was like summer! Balmy -3 C summer!

Two of my coworkers today (from Pakistan and Burma) thought I looked very cultural today. Which is pretty much the best thing that I can think of. I don't feel like I have a cultural identity of my own. I'm as blah-ly Canadian as possible so it's nice to get a comment like that!

Today I'm thankful for understanding that while things and plans are nice, what matters most is that the people you love being healthy and happy.

Oh I LOVE that bright color on you!

I remember when my sister-in-law gave me a massage (she used to be a massage therapist) and I was so sore for days after. Ugh.

Lady, you're my twin from two days ago! Long black dress, short colorful dress, black cardigan! Love it!

And as someone who's lived in both Canada and other countries, Canada definitely has a cultural identity (truth be told, it has many). First signifier? Poutine.

OMG I love your hair. It was something i thought of doing but am sure my hair stylist would disapprove of. It looks awesome!

Melissa: Massages are equally awesome and awful. Just like the world I guess.

Katie: Yeah, I guess you're right. I just work with people from all over the world and it always seems more interesting! Second signifier: overly apologetic. Once I apologised to my unexpected reflection...

Miss D: My stylist has pink cotton candy hair and actually jumped for joy when I suggested it!

The colors are awesome!! Great outfit! -3C? wow... And I love that compliment "cultural"! That's a neat way to describe an outfit! And cultural identities can be overrated sometimes too... where I live has a strong one... it's hit and miss whether that's a good thing.
